Project: Murphy Exploration Houston Office - 7 Floors
Role: Experiential Graphic Designer
Project Description: During my time at PDR, I collaborated with Murphy Exploration as an environmental graphic designer. My role involved enhancing their 7-floor Houston office, where I embarked on a creative journey to establish a distinct sense of place. Through translating seismic data into bespoke art designs, I captured the essence of the company's work in a unique way. A central aspect of my responsibilities was devising a comprehensive wayfinding and signage system that seamlessly guided individuals within the office space. By incorporating Murphy Exploration's brand colors, I curated distinct ambiences for each elevator landing area. Utilizing 3M's clear wave material, skillfully backlit to radiate a captivating glow, I effectively amplified the brand's presence throughout the space. Additionally, I adorned the elevator landings with striking visuals of the company's pivotal oil wells, accentuating the significance of each floor. Through these efforts, I heightened employee awareness and contributed to the company's culture, fostering a sense of unity. My role as an environmental graphic designer allowed me to make a meaningful impact on the transformation of Murphy Exploration's office environment.
